Web Developer - KTM

We’re looking for a Web Developer to join our growing team in Kathmandu. This is a hands-on, technical role where you’ll lead the development and optimisation of custom WordPress solutions, with a strong focus on SEO, performance, and scalability.

If you’re confident with PHP, comfortable building solutions from the ground up, and understand how performance, structure, and SEO work together, this role may suit you well.

This position suits a developer who moves beyond simple theme adjustments and takes genuine ownership of how websites are designed, built, and maintained across multiple platforms.

What you’ll be doing

Designing, building, and maintaining websites across Drupal and WordPress
Developing custom themes, modules, and plugins
Integrating and working with REST APIs and third-party services
Driving technical SEO implementation, including site structure, schema, and crawl optimisation
Optimising performance, speed, and Core Web Vitals
Implementing caching strategies, redirects, and CDN configurations
Managing and optimising MySQL databases
Maintaining strong security, accessibility, and mobile performance standards
Working with tools such as Google Search Console, GA, and analytics platforms
Using Git and following deployment best practices
Collaborating with designers, marketers, and developers across Hybrid

Experience you’ll bring

Five years plus of hands-on PHP development experience
Strong experience with Drupal and/or WordPress development
Confidence building custom functionality, not just modifying templates
Solid understanding of technical SEO principles and implementation
Experience optimising site speed, performance, and Core Web Vitals
Familiarity with APIs, CDNs, caching layers, and hosting environments
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Knowledge of security and accessibility best practices
Comfortable troubleshooting, debugging, and working independently
Strong English communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly
